Backend Intern
Quiet code that survives. You'll design services and data layers that everything else stands on. We need someone who can read a spec, design a schema, write the API, and ship it with confidence — not someone waiting to be told what to do next.

- Design and build REST/RPC services — own them from spec to production
- Model domain data thoughtfully — schemas, indexes, migrations
- Own observability and alerting for your services
- Make smart calls on caching, queueing, and async patterns
- Review code and push back when something doesn't make sense
- Investigate production issues until you find the real cause, not a workaround
What we're looking for
- Built and deployed at least one real backend project — not just coursework
- Strong SQL fluency and instinct for query performance
- Deep in at least one typed language (Node/TS, Go, Python)
- Postgres or MongoDB experience at a level beyond toy projects
- Docker and basic DevOps — you can deploy what you build
- You debug methodically and don't guess your way through problems
- Fluent written English
